Transit Centre
Backpackers in Paradise is a short 5 minute walk from the Greyhound Bus Station located on Beach Road. Cross at the lights at the Gold Coast Highway at the end of Beach Road and across the road it turns in to Peninsular Drive No. 40.
By Car
From the North -You can drive from Brisbane airport, which depending on traffic will take you about an hour. Get on to the M1 from Airport Drive and follow the M1 and Pacific Motorway to the Smith St exit (Exit 66). At the end of Smith Street you will turn right on the Gold Coast Hwy and follow that all the way in to Surfers Paradise, Peninsular Drive will be on your right.
From the South - If you are coming from Coolangatta Airport you will take Terminal Drive on to the Gold Coast Highway and follow it the entire way until you hit Surfers Paradise and Peninsular Drive will be on your left. Buses run the length of the Gold Coast Highway so you could also catch a bus. There is also the G-Link Tram service which runs from Broadbeach up through Surfers. If you are coming from further South you would follow the signs along the M1/Pacific Motorway to Surfers Paradise and again follow the Smith Street exit instructions above.
